Collector of brass instruments: Only one Italian instrument so far, a Saporetti & Capelli, Firenze, right handed piston single horn in F.
The receiver has a diameter, that is a bit wider than on normal horns. That is why I use a tuning bit to mount my Giardinelli J4 mouthpiece.
If any of your members could provide me some historical information on the use of these right handed horns, I would be very glad. My own guess is, that they were used in military bands.
